Kashmir (65) from Hounslow, West London is a recently retired caterer and chef – and grandma to 4 young children!
“I’m only in my early 60s, I’ve got four grandchildren who I like to play with and I’m too young to spend the rest of my life sitting down and having to give up going to the gym!”
“As I said at the start, Arthrosamid® really has changed my life and I’d recommend others in a similar situation to me to investigate the treatment, too.”
She says; “There are no two ways about it, Arthrosamid® has changed my life!
“I’d been experiencing constant agony in my right knee - it was really affecting my sleep and if I ever needed to get up in the night to visit the bathroom, the pain would make it almost impossible. At the time, I was also working as a chef as part of the catering team in a busy school – an active job, requiring me to be on my feet for hours at a time. But again, the pain in my knee was making it so hard to enjoy the job I loved, or to do it well, without having to take time off.
“Desperate to help ease my pain and to ‘give me my life back’, my husband was very proactive in researching possible treatments – in addition to the “resting and ice packs” which was the only advice I ever really received from my GP. I underwent several treatments and interventions over the course of 5 years - including keyhole surgery to remove ‘debris’ from the knee joint - but nothing worked.
“Following another failed treatment, I sought a second opinion from Mr Suresh Sudula (MSK Specialist & Consultant Physiotherapist) who suggested I come to see him at his clinic in Kent and assured me he would do all he could to help – he really could see how much pain I was in.
“As I told him; “I’m only in my early 60s, I’ve got four grandchildren who I like to play with and I’m too young to spend the rest of my life sitting down and having to give up going to the gym!”
“So, Mr Sudula told me about the Arthrosamid® hydrogel injection – and I agreed to give it a go. The procedure was quick and didn’t hurt at all and I did everything he told me to – such as resting up for a couple of days after the injection. And, about 10 days later, I was pretty much pain free and haven’t looked back since!
“My pain first started around 8 years ago when I was aged 57, following a nasty fall – and how I wish I’d found out about Arthrosamid® sooner! I finally had the procedure on the 16th June 2022, and 27 months on, I’m still noticing the difference, going to the gym and running on the treadmill (although I tend to do more swimming than cycling, on Mr Sudula’s advice) and regularly walking over 10,000 steps a day.
