Contura Orthopaedics Ltd has partnered with leading global expansion specialists Ortho Consulting Group (OCG) to expand the distribution of its new treatment Arthrosamid® on the European market. The agreement (officially signed on 21 January 2022) will facilitate the recruitment and management of a network of distributors in order to involve leading orthopaedic specialists in introducing the use of Arthrosamid®.
Arthrosamid® is a polyacrylamide hydrogel developed by Contura as a long-lasting intra-articular injection, approved in Europe to provide prolonged relief from osteoarthritis pain (OA) of the knee. Several clinical trials of Arthrosamid have been completed and further studies are ongoing: Published data have already shown that more than 70% of patients had a positive treatment experience, overcoming a minimal clinically important difference, with pain reduction, stiffness and physical mobility at 6 months with pain and physical function maintained beyond the year.®1
Arthrosamid® is a polyacrylamide hydrogel developed by Contura as a long-lasting intra-articular injection approved in Europe to provide sustained pain relief from knee osteoarthritis (OA). A number of clinical studies have been completed into Arthrosamid® with further trials ongoing. Published data has already shown that over 70% of patients had a positive experience of treatment, exceeding a minimal clinically important difference, with a reduction in pain, stiffness and physical mobility at 6 months with pain and physical function maintained beyond one year.1
