Lynne Moore
From having to crawl up the stairs on “hands and toes”, 60-year-old Lynne from Hexham is now back to walking her dogs for over an hour at a time…thanks to a “miraculous injection” in her knee.

Years of back problems and complications with an arthritic toe (resulting in complex surgery), had led to unexpected pain and severe swelling in the left knee of busy mum, wife & e-commerce specialist , Lynne Moore, from Hexham, Northumberland.
Describing the pain as “sheer agony”, here Lynne explains the huge impact that knee osteoarthritis had on her ability to do her job and how - in her opinion - the Arthrosamid® injection “gave me my life back”:

“Earlier this year, I visited my doctor with excruciating pain in my left knee and sudden swelling. Having suffered with back pain in for many years (caused by a slipped disc) and the after-effects of surgery (whilst living in Switzerland) to ‘fuse the joint’ of my arthritic big toe, I was clearly overcompensating on my left side, which I believed was the cause of my discomfort. An X-ray also revealed I had a so-called ‘Bakers Cyst’ on my knee and as such, was initially referred for physiotherapy, which I’m afraid made no difference whatsoever.
“Further investigations (ultrasound and MRI) also showed up osteoarthritis – and I was prescribed some fairly heavy-duty analgesic medication (including Tramadol and Naproxen). I was in so much pain I was even struggling to climb the stairs at home to reach my bedroom and bathroom. In fact, I’d often resort to pulling myself up by my hands in a type of crawling motion (although always careful to avoid putting any weight on my knees).
“But the biggest worry was the effect the pain and swelling were having on my work life. I work for a busy e-commerce company (a job I thoroughly enjoy!) and am in the office most days, on my feet for 6-7 hours, rushing around and, crucially, taking lots of photos of products from an angle / height that required me to stand on my tip toes. Agony!
“On a couple of occasions, it was so unbearable, I even had to leave the office early to go home which I hated doing as it I really love (and need) my job.
“So, it was actually one of my colleagues who said she’d seen local clinic, “Kneevolution” advertised around the town and thought I should check it out. I made an appointment with the wonderful Paul Hobrough who, after my initial consultation and examination, explained that I would be an eligible patient for the hydrogel injection, Arthrosamid®. I was aware that I’d need to pay for the treatment, but my husband was so supportive and without hesitation said I had to give it a try – it was quite literally an investment in my future and working life.
“And yes, just a month on from my injection, I’m delighted to say that the results have been better than I ever could have imagined or hoped for. I know it’s not the same for everyone but for me, the effects were almost immediate. In fact, as I lowered myself off the treatment bed at Mr Hobrough’s clinic, it was the first time in months that I’d been able to put any weight on my left foot. The relief I felt was incredible.
“I will obviously need further check-ups with Mr Hobrough but the early signs are so encouraging. Arthrosamid® has “given me my life back
