Mr Sanjiv Chugh
Mr Sanjiv Chugh qualified as a doctor in 1983 and has trained extensively in postgraduate orthopaedics in the UK and abroad. He was awarded a Master of Surgery (Orthopaedics) higher degree for his research on a form of hip replacement. While a Specialist Registrar on the Birmingham rotation he was appointed as one of the first Lower Limb Reconstruction Fellows working with Mr Derek Mcminn, the inventor and progenitor of the resurfacing hip replacement - designed to provide a better surgical treatment for younger arthritic patients.
