Contura Orthopaedics Ltd ist eine interessante neue Partnerschaft mit dem weltweit führenden Orthopädie-Spezialisten Ortho Consulting Group (OCG) eingegangen, um den Vertrieb seiner neuartigen Behandlung Arthrosamid® auf den europäischen Markt auszuweiten. Die Vereinbarung (formell unterzeichnet am 21. Januar 2022) wird die Rekrutierung und das Management eines Netzwerks von Vertriebspartnern erleichtern, um führende Orthopäden für die Einführung von Arthrosamid® zu gewinnen.
Arthrosamid® ist ein Polyacrylamid-Hydrogel, das von Contura International Ltd. als lang anhaltende intraartikuläre Injektion entwickelt und in Europa zur Behandlung von Knieosteoarthritis (OA) zugelassen wurde. Für Arthrosamid® wurden bereits mehrere klinische Studien abgeschlossen, weitere Studien laufen. Veröffentlichten Daten zeigen, dass über 70 % der Patienten positive Erfahrungen mit der Behandlung gemacht haben, die den minimalen klinisch bedeutsamen Unterschied übertrafen, wobei nach sechs Monaten die Schmerzen und die Steifheit abgenommen hatten, und die körperliche Beweglichkeit sich verbesserte. Die Abnahme der Schmerzen und die körperlichen Funktion blieben über ein Jahr hinaus erhalten.1
Arthrosamid® is a polyacrylamide hydrogel developed by Contura as a long-lasting intra-articular injection approved in Europe to provide sustained pain relief from knee osteoarthritis (OA). A number of clinical studies have been completed into Arthrosamid® with further trials ongoing. Published data has already shown that over 70% of patients had a positive experience of treatment, exceeding a minimal clinically important difference, with a reduction in pain, stiffness and physical mobility at 6 months with pain and physical function maintained beyond one year.1
