Firma Contura Orthopaedics Ltd nawiązała partnerstwo z wiodącymi specjalistami ds. ekspansji globalnej, Ortho Consulting Group (OCG), aby poszerzyć dystrybucję swej nowatorskiej terapii, tj. leku Arthrosamid® o rynek europejski. Ta umowa (formalnie podpisana 21stycznia 2022 r.) ułatwi rekrutację do sieci dystrybutorów i zarządzanie nią w celu zaangażowania wiodących ortopedów we wprowadzanie leku Arthrosamid®.
Arthrosamid® to hydrożel poliakrylamidowy opracowany przez firmę Contura w postaci zastrzyku dostawowego o długotrwałym działaniu, zatwierdzony do wprowadzenia na rynek europejski w celu zapewnienia trwałej ulgi w bólu wynikającym z choroby zwyrodnieniowej stawów kolanowych. Z udziałem leku Arthrosamid® ukończono szereg badań klinicznych, a dalsze są w toku. Z opublikowanych danych wynika, że ponad 70% pacjentów terapia przyniosła korzyść przekraczającą minimalną istotną klinicznie różnicę, w tym złagodzenie bólu, sztywności i poprawę mobilności fizycznej po upływie 6 miesięcy, przy czym poprawa ta utrzymała się przez okres powyżej jednego roku.1
Arthrosamid® is a polyacrylamide hydrogel developed by Contura as a long-lasting intra-articular injection approved in Europe to provide sustained pain relief from knee osteoarthritis (OA). A number of clinical studies have been completed into Arthrosamid® with further trials ongoing. Published data has already shown that over 70% of patients had a positive experience of treatment, exceeding a minimal clinically important difference, with a reduction in pain, stiffness and physical mobility at 6 months with pain and physical function maintained beyond one year.1
