A Contura Orthopaedics Ltd celebrou uma nova e interessante parceria com os especialistas em ortopedia Ortho Consulting Group (OCG), em expansão mundial, para estender a distribuição do seu novo tratamento Arthrosamid® ao mercado europeu. O acordo (assinado formalmente no dia 21 de janeiro de 2022) irá facilitar o recrutamento e gestão de uma rede de distribuidores, de modo a envolver especialistas em ortopedia conceituados na apresentação do Arthrosamid®.
O Arthrosamid® é um hidrogel de poliacrilamida, desenvolvido pela Contura como injeção intra-articular de ação prolongada, aprovado na Europa para proporcionar alívio sustentado da dor causada por osteoartrite (OA) do joelho. Foram realizados vários estudos clínicos com o Arthrosamid®, estando a decorrer mais ensaios. Dados publicados demonstraram que mais de 70% dos doentes tinham uma experiência de tratamento positiva, excedendo uma diferença mínima clinicamente importante, com redução da dor e da rigidez, e mobilidade física ao fim de 6 meses, mantendo-se a redução da dor e a função física por mais de um ano.1
Arthrosamid® is a polyacrylamide hydrogel developed by Contura as a long-lasting intra-articular injection approved in Europe to provide sustained pain relief from knee osteoarthritis (OA). A number of clinical studies have been completed into Arthrosamid® with further trials ongoing. Published data has already shown that over 70% of patients had a positive experience of treatment, exceeding a minimal clinically important difference, with a reduction in pain, stiffness and physical mobility at 6 months with pain and physical function maintained beyond one year.1
